Álvaro Cavieres is a psychiatrist, full professor at the University of Valparaíso, Chile. He was Head of the Psychotic Disorders Unit at the Hospital del Salvador in Valparaíso and Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Valparaíso. He is the author of several published articles on schizophrenia.
