How satisfied are patients with Metacognitive Training for psychosis (#MCT)?
❗Despite the well-established efficacy of MCT in reducing psychotic symptoms and cognitive biases, patient satisfaction remains an understudied but crucial factor for adherence and success.
💡 Key takeaways of our latest systematic review published in Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy:
âś” Many participants found MCTÂ highly comprehensible and beneficial
✔ MCT was often rated more satisfactory than other psychosocial interventions
âś” Group format and interactive approach were valued by patients
📢 While our review provides strong indications of high patient satisfaction, further research is needed—especially on the extended version of MCT.
