Description

Dr. Judith Usall, obtained her bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MD) at the University of Barcelona in 1988, and specialised by a residence in Psychiatry in 1992 at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona. She also obtained her Doctoral degree with the dissertation: “Gender and schizophrenia: Symptomatological and social functional differences between women and men” (2003). She obtained a Master Degree in Women’s Studies in 2001. She is a Senior Psychiatrist and research coordinator of the “Ethiopathogenesis and treatment of serious mental disorders (MERITT)” at the Research and Development Unit at Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu (Sant Boi, Barcelona). It is a group consolidated by the AGAUR.. She is the president-elect of the International association for Women’s Mental Health (IAWMH). She leads the Catalan Research Workgroup on Women’s Mental Health at the Catalan Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health and co-organiser of several congresses and meetings.
