Description

Merle Schlechte has recently finished her master’s degree in clinical psychology at the Utrecht University. She has written her master’s thesis on the topic of intolerance of uncertainty and body dissatisfaction and how this association is mediated by the factors of physical appearance comparison and self-disgust. During the course of her studies, she has successfully completed a sixth month long internship at the clinical neuropsychology unit of the University clinic Hamburg Eppendorf, where she performed neurocognitive assessment of patients with psychological disorders and provided the metacognitive training for psychosis. Merle has now started to work as a full member of the unit and will soon start her PhD. Merle will perform research on the feasibility and effectiveness of the metacognitive training for psychosis as an online intervention.
