📣 A unique seminar just took place at the eFkropka Foundation!

📅 On May 26, the eFkropka Foundation held a meeting at its Warsaw office focused on metacognitive training (MCT), an effective method of supporting individuals experiencing or recovering from a psychotic crisis. Prof. Łukasz Gawęda and Dr. Adrianna Aleksandrowicz led the seminar.

🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ The meeting was open to individuals with experience of psychosis, their families, and mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists.

📌 📌 The event was organized in honor of International Schizophrenia Day on May 24. We aimed to raise awareness about the importance of psychotherapy in the treatment of psychotic disorders.

🧠 Many important topics were discussed during the meeting, including:
👉 The role of cognitive biases in shaping difficult experiences such as hearing voices, lack of trust, and negative self-image.
👉 A demonstration of how MCT can support patients in better understanding their experiences and improving their daily functioning.
👉 An invitation to participate in a research study testing the effectiveness of MCT training as part of an international project.
👉 Information was also provided on how to sign up for free MCT training in small groups.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this meaningful event!
